Welcome

Spokane has long been perceived as a large “small town” with a wonderful quality of life. It is a great place to raise families.

The Spokane Association of REALTORS® has joined efforts with the City of Spokane, neighborhood representatives and for profit and nonprofit builders to form the Infill Housing Task Force. View the progress of the Task Force as the group moves from cottage housing to townhouse development.

The Spokane Association of REALTORS® received national recognitionfor our work on the Affordable Homeownership Task Force. Read the article on Spokane featured in the National Association of REALTORS® publication On Common Ground.

More useful Information:
In 2008 the Spokane Association of REALTORS® became a partner of SmartRoutes whose plan is to increase biking and walking transportation choices. Go here to learn more.

In 2007 Spokane County led Washington State in job growth with 10,000 new jobs. That year Forbes Magazine listed Spokane as the 20th best place to do business in the nation. The region has finally been discovered.

All of this growth brings both tremendous opportunities and serious challenges. With land prices more than doubling within the last five years, home prices have increased significantly.

Spokane REALTORS® know we must plan wisely for growth to ensure and protect the Quality of Life we enjoy here and the American Dream of homeownership for our residents.

For that reason, REALTORS® helped form the Spokane Affordable Homeownership Task Force— a consortium of the building, real estate, non-profit, and government communities— to collaborate on solutions for the Spokane region's looming housing affordability crisis. Following are the studies and reports that have come out of this yearlong effort.
